Gear Lending

PFM Gear logo
Our gear lending library is intended to lower the cost barrier associated with trying roller derby. It is a temporary loan to give the skater a taste of the sport and time to get their own gear. The gear we lend out is all donated from former or current PFM skaters and is probably all used. We do not currently lend helmets or mouthguards. We do a quick inspection for obvious flaws, but we cannot be sure of its safety. We encourage you to always inspect gear before you put it on, but with borrowed gear be extra careful in inspection and ask if anything seems wrong or uncomfortable. We suggest a $20 donation to allow for administration of the gear lending program.

Process for Reservations:

1) Email to let us know you’re interested in New Skater and gear rental. You’ll receive instructions to how to proceed from there.

2) Go to our PFM Gear Lending site.

3) View the Gear Library and fill out the reservation form. Look at the reservation calendar (found at bottom of gear photo page) to ensure the skates you need are not already reserved. The reservation form includes electronically agreeing to a liability waiver.

4) Email to notify us that you completed the process.

Once you know you love the sport—and we hope you do—you are encouraged to go to a brick and mortar store to purchase gear. There is a shop north and a shop south of Seattle. Getting properly fitted is vital and supporting local business is invaluable to the community.
