I grew up in a small town in northern Alabama. There was nothing to do but hang out at the skating rink. Every year for Christmas I could count on one of my presents being new skates. The first pair had green wheels but after that they were always white leather with red wheels.
I have wanted to try roller derby for as long as I can remember but never knew how to get involved. Finally, at the age of 45, I sought out a place to give it a try. After explaining to a couple of local teams that I had no derby experience, one person told me about PFM. It has the been th perfect place to venture into this amazing sport.
